Choosing this option will download the torrent file for the GIMP installer. It works by downloading GIMP from a distributed network of BitTorrent users, and may improve download speed dramatically. I recommend clicking the option on the right download directly - orange button. Clicking this button denoted by the red arrow will take you to the Downloads page. They are actually stand-up guys most of them who put in a lot of man-hours for the good of the photo editing community and humanity in general. Great news! So, MAC install packages often get favorable treatment over Windows.
This app has two modes: a poor emulation of the desktop version, and a half-functional copy of MS Paint. Like many others, I downloaded this hoping that it would be similar to the desktop version, or at least a trimmed-down version. Now it says to use an iPad or bigger screen, but this is ios not the ipad operating system so why is it even in the app store if it doesn't work with my device? As much as I love gimp, this port is pure trash and should be deleted from the app store. It looks just like the desktop version, only nothing is scaled to fit a mobile screen so you constantly zoom in and zoom out using buttons, not native gestures.
